Guidelines for abstracts submission and deadline
You can attend the conference and/or submit an abstract for an oral or poster presentation. Poster presentation will be limited to 5 minutes. One or two questions will be asked by a reviewer.
Language: abstract must be submitted in English.
Poster size: 100 height X 70 width cm.
All submissions will be peer reviewed and published in the conference Proceedings. Abstracts topics might be related to:
- Experimental research;
- Review of literature or innovation related to coaching, teaching or to training of football
Selected authors will possibly be asked to submit a full paper.
Guidelines for submission
Authors should send their abstracts electronically (in attached file) to Scuola dello Sport Sicilia at: scienceandfootball@conisicilia.it
Abstracts (including few references) must be submitted in Microsoft Word format, using:
Ø Word count: 500 words including references
Ø Number of pages: 1
Ø Font: Arial 12 for the text and 10 for the references
Ø Text: Justified
Ø Line space: Single
Ø Margins: 2 all sides
Ø The title of the abstract must be accompanied by the name of the authors and their institutions as well as 3 to 5 key words.
Ø References should be formatted as the American Psychological Association (APA) style.
The abstracts related to an experimental study should include the following sections:
v Introduction: purpose of the study, short review of literature
v Method: acquisition of the data and analysis
v Results: text, graphs or/or tables
v Conclusion
v References: APA format (font 10)
Deadline for submission
Submissions should be sent by email before 10th March 2011 to scienceandfootball@conisicilia.it
Definitive resubmissions 20th March 2011.

Linee guida per la sottomissione degli abstracts
Gli abstracts dovranno essere redatti in lingua inglese e dovranno essere conformi alle istruzioni per gli Autori (di seguito riportate). Ciascun Autore può presentare un numero massimo di due lavori. Scadenza per l’invio degli abstracts: 10 marzo 2011
Istruzioni per gli Autori
Gli abstracts devono contenere:
- Titolo, elenco degli Autori e afferenze istituzionali;
- Scopo dello studio, materiali e metodi, risultati ottenuti e conclusioni;
- Citazioni bibliografiche possono essere aggiunte alla fine degli abstracts.
- 500 parole (incluse le citazioni bibliografiche)
- Numero di pagine: 1
- Carattere testo: arial 12
- Carattere citazioni bibliografiche: arial 10
- Testo: giustificato
- Interlinea: singola
- Margini: 2 cm dx, sx, sup, inf
- Parole chiave: minimo 3, massimo 5
- Citazioni bibliografiche (APA).
L’abstract (in formato microsoft word) va inviato on-line al seguente indirizzo di posta elettronica:

Tutti gli abstract sono soggetti ad accettazione da parte della Segreteria Scientifica. Eventuali “minor revisions” devono essere apportate entro il 20 marzo 2011.
Tematiche degli abstract
E’ consentita la sottomissione di lavori originali e/o di revisioni della letteratura. In entrambi i casi è obbligatoria l’attinenza al tema della conferenza (football).
Tematiche degli abstract:
- Allenamento;
- Preparazione atletica;
- Valutazione funzionale;
- Recupero funzionale;
- Motivazione, gestione del gruppo;
- Biomeccanica.
E’ prevista la pubblicazione degli atti del convegno tramite “Book of abstracts - 1st International Conference, Science and Football, 15-17 April 2011 - ”. I migliori 3 lavori verranno pubblicati in extenso nel book of abstracts.
